SPRINGFIELD — Two people, including a juvenile, have been arrested on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping in connection to the shooting death of a 15-year-old in Springfield.

Kamell Golden, 15, was taken by a private vehicle to Springfield Regional Medical Center after being shot around 4 p.m. on Scott Street Wednesday.
Golden was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, where he died around 3 a.m., the coroner’s office said.
“I’m a little shaken up right. There was a shooting right in front of my house,” a 911 caller said after hearing the shooting. “When I looked out my front door, there were three black guys running up to a silver SUV.”
Two juveniles were taken into custody on aggravated robbery charges Wednesday night and placed in juvenile detention, according to Springfield police.
On Thursday around 2 p.m., Springfield police were involved in a pursuit with a vehicle that had additional suspects from the homicide investigation. The pursuit ended in the area of Lexington Avenue and Buxton Avenue, and three people in the car were taken into custody.
The driver, a juvenile, was arrested on traffic violations in connection to the pursuit. Travis A. Pearson and another juvenile, both passengers in the car, were each arrested on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
Golden was a freshman at Springfield High School.
“The Springfield City School District was deeply saddened to learn of the death of student Kamell Golden,” Dr. Bob Hill, Springfield City Schools Superintendent, wrote in a statement. “A loss such as this is tragic and everyone will work through this very hard time together.”
Grief counselors were at Springfield High School Thursday for students and staff and will also be available Friday.
