SPRINGFIELD — Kettering Health Network will build a new emergency room and medical facility in Springfield in what the health care provider is calling “the most significant investment Kettering Health Network has made in Springfield and Clark County.”
The new facility will be a single-story and located at 2300 N. Limestone Street. It’s expected to open next winter.

“Our mission compels us to provide high-quality health care – as close to home as possible – for those we serve,” said Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health Network. “For many years, we have served the residents of Springfield and Clark County at various hospitals and clinics throughout our network. Now is the right time to invest in Springfield more intentionally by bringing services that enhance wellness and serve residents in their time of need.”
The 42,000-square-foot facility will feature a 24/7 emergency room, outpatient services including lab and imaging, as well as medical offices for primary care and specialty services, the network said.
About 50 full-time jobs will be available at the new location and the cost to build it is about $20 million.
Kettering Health already has some existing services in Springfield, including a primary care office on Middle Urbana Road and a health center on Emmanuel Way.
