Kettering Health will resume normal pre-pandemic visitation beginning Wednesday March 16, which will bring both major hospital networks in our region back to pre-pandemic visitation policies.
“Due to the continued decrease in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, Kettering Health is updating its visitor policy across the system,” Kettering Health said in a statement.

The policy change will go into effect at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The change comes as the region is seeing the lowest COVID-19 hospitalizations since mid-July. Ohio Hospital Association data shows there were 33 people hospitalized who were positive for COVID-19. Four people were listed as being in the ICU with COVID-19.
Kettering Health will continue to require masks in clinical care buildings in its network, which includes hospitals, clinics, physician offices and therapy offices.
Patients suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 may have one visitor age 12 or older by appointment only.
Last month, Premier Health announced it too was returning to normal visitation in its facilities.
