Kettering to kick off holiday season with Mayor’s Tree Lighting event Friday

KETTERING — The City of Kettering is set to kick off the holiday season with its annual Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The event is scheduled to take place Friday, December 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Civic Commons.

The Kettering Children’s Choir will be there to sing favorite carols, and there will be hot chocolate and cookies, according to a spokesperson for the city.

The tree lighting and all of the activities during the event are free and open to the public.
