Victim, 47, identified in fatal Dayton motorcycle crash

UPDATE @ 10:33 a.m. (July 27):

A 47-year-old Dayton man has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash on Riverside Drive in Dayton Wednesday evening.

Kevin L. Warren was killed in the crash around 7:40 p.m.

An autopsy on Warren is scheduled for today.

UPDATE @ 11:10 p.m.: The coroner's office is working to learn the name and age of the man killed in the Dayton motorcycle accident on Riverside Drive.

Meantime, the Dayton Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is heading up the investigation, Sgt. Andrew Zecchini said.

The CRU ended the on-scene investigation and reopened Riverside Drive about 10:30 p.m., the sergeant said.

UPDATE @ 9:48 p.m.: The victim in the Dayton motorcycle accident has been taken to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.

Northbound Riverside Drive, in the area of Ryburn Avenue, remains closed for the investigation of the accident. Southbound Riverside Drive remains open.

INITIAL REPORT

At least one person has been killed in a motorcycle accident in the area of Riverside Drive and Ryburn Avenue, Dayton police Sgt. Andrew Zecchini said.

The investigation is in its preliminary stage, but the sergeant said the victim is believed to be male and no other vehicles are involved.

The incident was reported as an injury crash about 7:40 p.m.

Northbound Riverside Drive has been shut down. One southbound lane remains open.
