Preliminary investigation indicated that Soraya Rivadeneira, 49, of Troy, was traveling north on Ohio 589 driving a 2012 Nissan Versa approaching Middleton-Hume Road. Also traveling north on Route 589 was a 2001 Ford F-250, driven by Devlin Allen, 19, of Sidney.

The Nissan turned right onto Middleton-Hume Road and then veered back to the left onto Route 589 to perform a U-turn. This put the Nissan in the path of the truck, which struck it in the driver’s door.

The collision carried both vehicles on Route 589 north of the intersection.
