Springfield firefighters responded to reports of a commercial fire in the 800 block of West Leffel Lane, occupied by US Xpress Inc., at 5:10 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they labeled the fire a two-alarm fire; however, as the flames grew, the categorization was changed to a four-alarm fire.

Springfield Fire included an aerial attack to put out hot spots found throughout the building, evident in photos captured from the scene.
