At least 1 hospitalized following 2-vehicle Kettering crash

KETTERING — At least one person was hospitalized following a two vehicle crash in Kettering Sunday overnight.

Kettering Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Woodman Drive and Forrer Boulevard at 12:04 a.m. on reports of an injury crash, the city’s dispatch confirmed.

When officers and firefighters arrived, they reported that a Mercedes-Benz vehicle and a Volkswagen Jetta crashed into one another, according to initial traffic on emergency scanners.

There were two patients reporting injuries; however, Kettering dispatchers were only able to confirm one medical unit that responded to the scene.

The unit made a transport to a nearby hospital. Dispatchers did not disclose which hospital at least one patient was taken to.

Initially, there were reports that a person was unresponsive. However, the person became responsive again after medical attention. Dispatchers assured the crash was not fatal.

The Kettering Police Department led the investigation into the crash.
