1 seriously injured after being ejected from pickup truck in rollover crash

GREENE COUNTY — One person is seriously injured after being ejected from a pickup truck in a rollover crash in Greene County on Saturday, according to a spokesperson from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Dayton Xenia Road, near Hawkins Road, in Xenia Township around 5:20 p.m.

Greene County Sheriff’s deputies and medics initially responded to the crash, but an OSHP trooper was called to the scene.

According to the spokesperson, a preliminary investigation found that a 23-year-old was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger northwest on Dayton Xenia Road at the time of the crash.

The driver traveled off the right side of the road and overcorrected back into the road.

While overcorrecting, the pickup truck overturned and began rolling across and off the left side of the road, the spokesperson said.

The driver was ejected as the pickup truck overturned.

They were transported to Miami Valley Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post.
