TIPP CITY — Five people were hurt following a crash on Southbound Interstate 75 in Tipp City Saturday evening, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol Spokesperson.

Troopers were dispatched to SB I-75 near State Route 571 around 6:14 p.m.
A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the crash blocked the left two lanes.
Medics transported five people to Upper Valley Medical Center and all have been discharged, a spokesperson told News Center 7.
All lanes reopened at approximately 7:49 p.m.
Troopers received mutual aid from Tipp City Police, Fire, EMS and Troy EMS.
The driver of the Chevy Cobalt has been cited, according to the spokesperson.
It is unknown if the crash was a result of the back-up from an earlier semi fire on Southbound 75 in Vandalia.
