Police said witnesses told them the at-fault driver, a male, was driving north in the southbound lanes. The man was alert and talking when he was taken to the hospital.

Police were seen pulling alcohol from the man’s vehicle, however police are still investigating the cause of the crash and why the man drove across the road into oncoming traffic.

A pregnant woman and her 11-year-old daughter were in one of the vehicles hit by the at-fault driver.  They were both taken to hospitals to be evaluated.

The injuries to the other victims in the crash are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

All lanes of North Main Street were blocked, but reopened around 2:15 p.m.
