MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A Fairborn man has been identified as the person killed in a crash on State Route 4 on Friday evening.
Terrell Dean, 22, was identified as the victim by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
Dean was the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu, according to the crash report. An initial investigation showed that Dean was traveling northbound on SR 4 at an excessive rate of speed when he lost control. The report stated that Dean drove off the left side of the road, into the median. The car then overturned and crossed both lanes of southbound SR 4 before coming to rest in a ditch.

Dean was ejected from the car, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people were in the car at the time of the crash. The crash report showed that a 14-year-old female was also ejected from the car. She was transported to Miami Valley Hospital and remains in critical condition, according to hospital records.
Two other people, a 19-year-old female and 22-year-old male, were transported to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
The crash shut down SR 4 in both directions in the area. Southbound SR 4 was closed for over three hours due to the crash.
