The victim, a 22-year-old male, is said to be stable at Miami Valley Hospital, the lieutenant said.

Bauer said the shooting is not being characterized as a drive-by.

Police are collecting shell casings from the street.

UPDATE @ 6:06 p.m.:

The police investigation of the shooting appears to be focused on Shenandoah Drive and not any of the houses on Shenandoah or Elmhurst Road.

Crime scene tape is up to hold a possible crime scene.

The victim found in a white car at West First Street and Salem Avenue has been taken to a hospital. The condition of that victim is not known.

Police are investigating whether the two scenes are connected.
