An eyewitness tells us he saw one man stab the other in the leg after the two squared off, with their fists up, while engaged in an argument.

The eyewitness said the victim suffered a leg wound. We're working to find out about the victim's condition.

In new details tonight, an employee, in a call to 9-1-1, confirmed the stabbing occurred during a fight.

“They’re out here fighting and one dude has already stabbed another one,” the employee said.

The employee and other people in the store took the victim napkins for his wounds.

“I kicked the knife out of the way,” the employee said. “I grabbed it with a grocery bag and put it behind our register.”

The 9-1-1 operator thanked the employee for doing that. Dayton police arrived moments later.

Police offered no comment at the scene and have not responded to our request for information about their preliminary investigation of the incident.
