People looking to beat the heat this summer will get a chance to cool down with a refreshing glass of lemonade today.
The Miami Valley’s inaugural Lemonade Day begins Saturday, July 31, and children from Huber Heights, Beavercreek, and Springboro will be participating.
The first-time event is sponsored by the River Valley Credit Union and the City of Huber Heights.

“We would like for the community to be on the lookout for lemonade stands on Saturday to help support these young entrepreneurs,” said Eric Gagliano, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, River Valley Credit Union.
Children will be learning how to run a business, earning some money, and competing for prizes, according to a release from the city.
Prizes will be awarded for “Best Decorated Stand” and “Best Tasting Product.” These children will each win a Nintendo Switch. Local prizes were sponsored by the City of Huber Heights.
