“I do home health care, and the weather may be bad outside, but the person still needs to be taken care of,” Regina Cardoza from Huber Heights said.

Cardoza has been doing home health care for years. She says helping people is her passion, and a foot of snow in one week won’t stop her.

“I’m very protective of my clients. And I go, no matter what,” Cardoza said.

Cardoza has clients spread out across the Miami Valley. She says she does her best to stay safe on the roads.

“Watching the weather, it started getting worse and worse,” Cardoza said.

Another Huber Heights resident was out today with shovels and a plow truck. Billy Rodriguez said he wanted to do something good today.

“We just go around, see the worst places, try to keep it clean,” Rodriguez said. “Let’s keep the people safe.”

Cardoza admits her husband worries about her driving in this weather.

“I tell my husband, ‘I’m on my way,’ and he’ll go, ‘just be careful,’ and I go, ‘that’s the plan,’” Cardoza said.
