Local agency collects gifts for those recently released from incarceration

Employees from a local agency worked to make sure those recently released from incarceration and their family felt warm and welcomed this Christmas.

The Montgomery County Child Support Agency spent the month collecting items for the Office of Reentry’s “Global Warming Initiative” this holiday season.

The goal of the initiative was to “give a warm welcome along with physical warmth” to graduates of the Reentry Career Alliance Academy, according to a social media post.

The Reentry Career Alliance Academy is a three-and-a-half-week program that works with a variety of important resources in the community to provide programming and services to the men and women who are returning to Montgomery County from incarceration

The gifts collected included toys, clothing, and other personal items.
