Local church reopens building after over a year of being closed due to COVID-19

DAYTON — The Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church will be going back into the sanctuary after a year and a half of COVID-19 restrictions.

The church has been hosting in-car worship services ever since they shut down the sanctuary.

Today the Central State University marching band will be joining the church in celebrating the reopening.

The ban will begin to play at 9:15 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m.

Service will be held at 10:45 a.m., according to a release.
