FAIRBORN — A local high school principal has resigned a year into the job.

Fairborn High School Principal Karen Spaulding-Chicketti has resigned, a district spokesperson confirmed.
The district cited “personal reasons.”

Asst. Principal Deb Hauberg will fill the role of principal for the remainder of this school year, the district said.
Spaulding-Chicketti was in the first year of her role at Fairborn.
Previously she had served as principal of Belmont High School for four years.
