The ramp from Dryden Road to I-75 South will also reopen to traffic as the southbound lanes shift into a normal traffic pattern with three lanes.

ODOT told News Center 7 that they still want drivers to slow down in the construction zone.

“Pay attention, especially in work zones. Guys, pay attention. Put the phones down. Be extra cautious when you are driving through those work zones.” said Loryn Bryson, ODOT.

Drivers have hit 67 ODOT crews this year.

As the southbound lanes shift into a normal traffic lane with three lanes, drivers will adjust.

“What do you think about driving on I-75 through these construction zones?” asked News Center 7′s John Bedell to one driver.

“I can’t say the truth, but it is terrible. It’s terrible,” said Bob Lewis of Liberty, Indiana.

“Just can’t wait til they get it all done ‘cause I’m sick of the construction. I’m ready for it to get back to normal,” said Candy Fisher of Beavercreek.

The project on this stretch of I-75 between U.S. 35 and State Route 741 is expected to be done by sometime next summer.
