The Breakfast Santas chose Debbie’s Restaurant in Riverside for their random act of kindness, where they met waitress Kristina Stansell.
“To whom much is given, much is required,” Breakfast Santa Brian Sharp said. “We’ve been blessed. We are friends with people who have been blessed, and there are plenty of people who deserve to be blessed as well.”
Brian Sharp, aside from being a Breakfast Santa, is a Dayton realtor. He has friends from all walks of life, and together they are the Breakfast Santas.
“We thank you for all that you’ve done. In this bag is a little over $1500,” Sharp said as he handed Stansell the gift. “We hope you have a marvelous holiday.”
Stansell was blown away by the generous gift.
“My mind is not processing it,” Stansell said.
Stansell has been a server for 15 years and she’s only ever heard of things like this happening on the news.
“The world we live in is pretty crazy, so to see some nice people in this world is great,” Stansell said. “You don’t see it often and it’s great.”
Stansell said she will be sharing her gift with her coworkers. But even a portion of the gift will make a big difference for her and Christmas for her kids, she said.
Sharp and his fellow Breakfast Santas hope the generosity is contagious.
“We want everybody to find a way. There are a million ways to give back to your community or to people in need,” Sharp said. “Just make a difference.”
