Richard Bruce Leet, 57, is due in court Tuesday following his indictment Friday by a Montgomery County grand jury.

Leet was arrested May 10, the day after Dayton police identified him as a person of interest in the theft of a minivan with a baby inside that led to a frantic 911 call from a woman who said she was babysitting her cousin’s 3-month-old child.

The black 2008 Chrysler Town and Country was stolen shortly before midnight from a Clark Oil gas station, 1655 N. Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton. The minivan, with the child safe inside, was quickly found a short distance away, police said.

Leet was indicted for two counts of kidnapping and one count each of abduction and grand theft (motor vehicle), all felony charges; and a misdemeanor count of interference with custody.

A woman was with Leet, but police have not released her name nor said whether she faces charges.
