That’s the second time investigators said he’s admitted to the shooting.
He’s now accused of murdering his father 54-year-old Daniel Davis Sr.
Miami County Chief Deputy Steve Lord said the Davises were arguing inside a detached garage on the property along West Monroe-Concord Road in Union Township.
Deputies wouldn’t say what the argument was about before things turned violent.
But Monday night, our News Center 7 crew could see them focusing on the larger of the two outbuildings on the property.

Lord said Davis Jr.’s step-mom and other family members he described as “juveniles” were in the house when they heard the gunfire.
Deputies told us on scene Monday night that in the moments that followed, Davis Jr. made his first admission to dispatchers.
“There was a 911 call regarding somebody asserting that they had shot a family member. And then walked to the end of the driveway and was waiting for the deputies to arrive,” Lord said.
Deputies said they recovered a gun from Davis Jr. arrested him and took him to jail.
Davis Sr. died at the hospital.
Deputies said it looks like Davis Jr. was the only one involved in the murder and they don’t anticipate charging anyone else.
The sheriff’s office has asked prosecutors to present the case to a grand jury.
Davis Jr.’s next court date is scheduled for next week.
But that will be canceled and moved to common pleas court if a grand jury decides to indict him between now and then.
