Jefferson Twp. honors man, woman for pulling resident from burning home

JEFFERSON TWP. — The Ohio State Fire Marshall, Wright Patterson Air Force Command Staff, along with the Jefferson Twp. Fire Department and community honored two Huber Heights residents Tuesday evening for acts of heroism they said likely saved a life.

Aaron Duncan Roll and Cassidy Breanne Carpenter were honored for pulling a Jefferson Twp. resident from his burning home March 30 in the 5100 block of Germantown Pike.

Roll and Carpenter were on their way home when they spotted the flames coming from the house.

Jefferson Twp. Battalion Chief Gregory Wilcox described the two as “very brave,” and said they most likely saved the man’s life.

The ceremony took place during the Jefferson Twp. Trustee meeting.
