The teen worked for Howard and they attended the same church, officials say.
After the teen began working for Howard, he began receiving sexual messages. The same year, the teen said Howard began sexually abusing him. The abuse continued on multiple occasions for four years, the teen told authorities.
Detectives said they learned that Howard “made admissions regarding his ‘three to four year’ relationship,” after conducting interviews.
Howard was arrested and charged with 40 counts of first-degree sexual abuse and 40 counts of third-degree sodomy. Howard’s bond is set at $250,000 and he is expected in court Jan. 13.
