The man apparently punched out a window and stuck a gun inside, terrorizing the tenants who lived there, according to the woman who owns the home.

“I’m just very, very frustrated and now to come see the damage to my home,” said Annetta Richardson.

Richardson can only shake her head as she looks at the home her tenant lives in. According to police, shots were fired in through a window.

“I don’t know what more I could do, I’m frustrated, I’m very frustrated,”

As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, police said the problems began when a man came to the home trying to collect a $20 debt he believed he was owed. He broke the window and fired shots, and one person was hit but not injured seriously.

He then went a few houses down and when police pulled up, SWAT had to be called.

“We ordered him multiple times over the loudspeakers to come out of the house,” said Dayton Police Sgt. Gordon Cairns.

Cairns said that didn’t work, so since the man was the only one in the apartment, they escalated tactics.

“Pepper balls is what it was and that gave us the result that we desired,” Cairns said.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man. Montgomery County jail records identify him as Camron Belton, who is now facing several charges.

The people who live at the home, and the woman who owns the home, are also unsure of their future.

It has made Richardson consider retiring as a landlord, trying to provide affordable housing.

Richardson was a Dayton Public Schools and Ohio State graduate before retiring after serving 30 years in the military and buying housing to help people.

Belton was booked in jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and burglary, among other things.
