Just before 8 a.m. two officers spotted Richard Rogers, 43, who had an active warrant for a robbery, according to Clark County Sheriff Chris Clark.
Officers tried to stop him but he led them on a chase through city streets going around 45-50 mph, Clark said.

Deputies went to Roger’s last known address in the 1600 block of South Fountain Ave where they saw Rogers run into the home.
Rogers refused to leave the home, prompting the county’s special response team to respond.
“This is not the first time that he’s done something like this,” Clark said.
Roger eventually surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody on his warrant.
News Center 7 previously reported that on Dec. 23, 2024, Roberts prompted a standoff in the same area and was arrested.
It is unclear when he was released from jail or on what circumstances.
