DARKE COUNTY — A man was arrested in Darke County after deputies found suspected methamphetamine and other pills during a traffic stop.

Around 2:59 a.m. on Friday, Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a pickup truck that was unable to maintain lanes, according to a news release.

A Darke County Sheriff’s Office K-9 performed a free air sniff on the truck, which resulted in a positive alert.
Deputies located a “substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine and various other pills” in the vehicle, according to the release.
55-year-old Steven Black of New Lebanon, Ohio was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a second-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor.
Black is currently booked in the Darke County Jail.
