MIAMISBURG — A man was caught on camera throwing rocks at The Blue Note Bistro restaurant early Sunday morning.

The vandal, seen on surveillance footage wearing a coat, glasses, and sneakers, pulled up to the restaurant around 5:30 a.m. in a minivan and proceeds to throw rocks at the building. The suspect then gets back in his vehicle and drives away.
One of the rocks broke through the door and damaged the piano in the building’s lobby, while another remains wedged in the glass outside the building.
One of the restaurant’s managers is still shocked that this is the second time the business has been vandalized in the last six weeks.
“I never thought that anything like this would happen”, said Operations Manager David Ziemba. “We’d like to find out who this person really is and find out why they’re targeting this business”.
Ziemba says in addition to police reports being filed, the community has been supportive during the entire ordeal with one person even helping to put plywood on the door’s entrance.
“We’re still here and open for business. We’re not going anywhere and we’re not going to let this deter us in anyway”, said Ziemba.
Damage estimates to fix the building are approximately $5,000.
