LORAIN — A man has been formally charged in connection to stabbing at a library in Northeast Ohio.

Roy Lee Fennell, 44, of Lorain was indicted on charges of attempted murder, felonious assault, resister arrest, and tampering with evidence, according to CBS affiliate WOIO.
Lorain police were called to the library on Nov. 18.

Officers said when they arrived, they found a 23-year-old man bleeding heavily from a stab wound and a library security officer restraining Fennell.
The 23-year-old man had been stabbed once in the neck and is in stable condition, police told WOIO.
According to police, they believe the attack was unprovoked and no argument took place before the stabbing.
Police added it is believed Fennell was familiar with the victim, but the extent of their relationship is not known.
Police said Fennell does have a criminal history, but almost entirely of trespass and theft-related incidents.
