SHELBY COUNTY — A man was flown to the hospital after a crash in Shelby County Friday evening.

Around 9:55 p.m. Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Troopers with the Piqua Post were dispatched to State Route 47 near Simon Road on reports of a crash.

The preliminary investigation shows a car driven by 45-year-old Andrew Baugher of Russia, Ohio, was heading westbound on SR-47 when the car went off the right side of the roadway.
The car continued through a field, then across a creek before striking the opposite bank and overturning.
Baugher was seriously injured and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
The crash remains under investigation.
