SPRINGFIELD — A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Springfield Friday.

Around 4 p.m. Springfield police and medics were called to the Speedway at South Limestone Street for reports of a shooting, according to a sergeant with Springfield police.

Officers found a man shot in the leg and took him to an area hospital for treatment.
Police said they are still searching for the suspect.
