LOGAN COUNTY — A 73-year-old Gahanna man died after being pulled from Indian Lake Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews arrived at Indian Lake State Park around 5 p.m. after Steven Opritza, 73, reportedly disappeared under water while boating.
Opritza was later rescued from the water and medics performed CPR, but he died at Mary Rutan Hospital.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is currently investigating the incident.
ODNR reminds watercraft users to always wear a life jacket and pay close attention to local conditions and posted advisories.
