Kyle M. Quillen, 28, is charged with rape, abduction and felonious assault, jail records show.

Deputies responded to the West Siebenthaler Avenue Kroger around 8 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a 911 call from a woman who said she had been stabbed and was running that way from Quillen’s Detroit Avenue house.

The woman was eventually found on Klepinger Road near Siebenthaler Avenue, according to the report.

She was treated and released from Miami Valley Hospital.

The woman told News Center 7’s Sean Cudahy on Wednesday that the attack was “very forceful.” She said Quillen “thought he was someone he wasn’t” because he was not taking medications for an apparent brain disorder.

Neighbors echoed what the woman said regarding his mental health.

“He just needs help, that’s all,” said neighbor Chrystal Chidester. “He’s in and out of the hospital all the time ... the psych ward, all that.”

According to the report, the woman told deputies Quillen began to accuse her of cheating and asked her to go to the bedroom with him.

“He then became irritable, pushed her and pulled her hair,” deputies wrote in a report.

The woman told investigators Quillen had a small paring knife, the report read.

“He cut my arm first and licked my blood off my arm.” She said he then took her clothes off and sexually assaulted her before locking her in the room, according to the report.

The house has bars on the exterior doors and windows. However, she was able to kick the bedroom door open and move a cabinet to jump out a kitchen window, the report read.

When deputies arrived at the house, they found kitchen knives on the floor in the dining area. There also was blood on the hallway wall and in the bedroom, and the bedroom door was kicked out, the report read.

Deputies later found Quillen walking along Valerie Arms Drive with “suspected blood on his left pant leg,” according to the report.

Quillen is due in court Thursday, jail records show.
