Police found Moody’s three-year-old daughter was found alone in an apartment in the 300 block of Wallace Drive in January 2024.
“As the biological father, Moody had both a moral and a legal responsibility to care for the victim and chose to do nothing,” said David Hayes, Greene County Prosecutor.
He added that Moody, “not only knew of the child’s horrific living conditions,” his office said. They also “took conscious and deliberate steps” to obstruct the investigation into both him and Rabyah Muballigh, the girl’s mother.
“Although Corey Moody was not the custodial parent of the child, the investigation showed that Moody had been to the home several times in the months leading up to the discovery of the child’s emaciated condition by the police. Any adult who walked into that house and saw that child should have reported it immediately,” said Hayes.

As News Center 7 previously reported, Fairborn police were called to the 300 block of Wallace Drive in January 2024 on reports of a child having trouble breathing.
A 911 caller, Rabyah Muballigh, told dispatchers that the child was alone in the apartment.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the apartment unsecured. Once inside the apartment, they found a 3-year-old child unresponsive who weighed just 16 pounds. Medics immediately took the child to a hospital.
Police said her bed was severely soiled, roaches were everywhere, and she had bug bites all over her body.
Muballigh was sentenced to 7 to 10. 5 years in prison last July for felonious assault.
“As the biological father, Moody had both a moral and a legal responsibility to care for the victim and chose to do nothing,” said Hayes.
The victim stayed in the hospital for several weeks before being discharged to continue recovery.
