CLINTON COUNTY — A judge has sentenced a Greene County man found guilty of shooting an Ohio Wildlife Officer last December to prison.
Brian Limming, 44, of Jamestown was sentenced Wednesday to four and a half years in prison. Limming was given eight days credit.

Limming was found guilty of assault, tampering with evidence and hunting without a deer permit.
News Center 7 previously reported that an indictment stated Limming possessed a loaded 20-gauge shotgun on Dec. 20, 2020. That was the day an officer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources was shot while investigating illegal deer hunting near Martinsville, Ohio.

Acting U.S. Attorney Vipal J. Patel, of the Southern District of Ohio, said Limming had previously been convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence. Possessing a firearm or ammunition after such conviction is a federal crime.
