Man taken into custody after allegedly ramming woman’s vehicle

DAYTON — A man is being held on preliminary charges after he reportedly rammed a woman’s vehicle Wednesday while she was behind the wheel.

Dashawn Antonio Pitts, 25, was arrested on domestic violence, tampering with evidence, carrying concealed weapons, having weapons while under disability and possession of drugs, according to a Dayton police report.

Charges not yet been formally filed.

Officers responded around 9:15 a.m. to Delphos Market on West Third Street after the woman called 911.

Police said that the woman told them that she was in an argument with the suspect earlier.

When she got into her vehicle to leave, he reportedly followed her, ramming the vehicle.

Officers found 154 grams of drugs in vehicle Pitts was driving, according to the report.
