Police initiated a traffic stop after spotting a white pickup traveling at a high rate of speed near the Piqua police station around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers said in the report.

The truck stopped near Lucky’s bar on North Main Street and the driver, later identified as Tigner, exited the truck and dropped a box near the door, officers said.

During the investigation, police said Tigner showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. The box that Tigner dropped at the bar’s door contained meat and was allegedly stolen by him earlier in the day. Police previously identified Tigner as a suspect in the theft after viewing surveillance video, the report states.

Tigner was released after being questioned by police and cited, however he was later arrested for domestic violence in a separate incident later in the day.
