INITIAL REPORT

The man found guilty of scalding a 2-year-old boy at a Centerville apartment on Loganwood Drive last April is set for sentencing.

William Lindsey, 28, entered a guilty plea last week to charges of felonious assault, tampering with evidence and two counts of endangering children.

Lindsey, the 2-year-old boy’s stepfather, severely burned the boy in the bathtub after the child defecated through his clothing, according to court documents.

Court documents filed by children’s services indicated Lindsey was taking care of the boy while the boy’s mother was at a doctor’s appointment.
