INITIAL REPORT:

A man just released from prison this week for public indecency was arrested today after police said he was caught touching himself inappropriately at Town & County Shopping Center.

Joseph C. Jordan, 46, was arrested by Kettering police at a business at the shopping center, 300 E. Stroop Road, where police were called around 11:15 a.m., police said.

Jordan was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of felony public indecency and misdemeanor trespassing.

Jordan previously was arrested Sept. 15, 2017, at Kettering Medical Center after two hospital employees witnessed him performing a sex act on himself in the lobby of the maternity floor, according to a statement of facts.

“Also present in the waiting room were other visitors and their children,” the statement read.

Jordan was sentenced in October to six months in the Correctional Reception Center and was just released from the facility Sunday for the September offense, state records show.

Jordan previously had been trespassed from the hospital property and in January 2016 was convicted of performing a sex act on himself in the hospital’s main lobby, police said.

In December 2014, Jordan was traveling with a Christmas caroling group in Centerville when he exposed himself to a woman in the group while they were driving to deliver Christmas cookies to members of a local church. He pleaded guilty to a public indecency charge in that case.

In 2016, Jordan was convicted after he was caught performing a sex act on himself in the cafe area of Dorothy Lane Market on Far Hills Avenue in Oakwood. He also has a previous conviction in Xenia on the same charge, according to court records.
