PIQUA — A manufacturer is closing its Miami County location this year, laying off over 100 people.

Nitto, Inc. in Piqua will permanently close this year, according to a WARN notice filed with the state.

The facility currently employs 147 people who will be laid off, with the exception of a small number of employees who will be transferred to Nitto’s Frankfort, Kentucky facility.
Layoffs are expected to happen between March and September, with the first round expected between March 7 and March 21.
Nitto manufactures high-performance materials, mostly for the automotive industry.
