JAMESTOWN — A 17-year-old male who was the victim in a home invasion shooting Monday morning, is in stable condition according to Jamestown police.

The teen, whose name was not released, was listed in stable condition following surgery at Miami Valley Hospital.
He was shot after confronting three robbers inside a home on West Xenia Street.
The robbery was discovered by a man, described as a friend of the homeowner, who came to visit the occupants at the home in 30 block around 6 a.m., according to Jamestown Police Chief Rodger Tyree.

The three robbers fled after the friend confronted them. One of the robbers turned around while running and fired a shot that hit the man in his upper leg, Tyree said.
The victim was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by a CareFlight medical helicopter.
The homeowner, his girlfriend, and a child were all inside the home during the robbery, Tyree said.
The three robbers, only described as men, all fled the scene and remain on the run, according to police.
Police are still working to establish a motive and the connection between the suspects and the victims. Investigators described the robbery as targeted and was not random.
