MIAMI TWP., Greene County — Four people were hurt, including one critically, after a crash this morning near Yellow Springs.

Rescue crews and medics were first called to the intersection of Clifton and Grinnell roads in Miami Twp. around 10:30 a.m.
According to Lt. Robert Hilderbrandt with the the Ohio State Highway Patrol, A 2012 Toyota Corolla driven by Barry Wideman 54, of Dayton was traveling northbound on Grinnell Rd. when he failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign at the intersection.
Wideman was then struck in the right side by a westbound 2007 Ford van driven by Frederick Harmon 52, of Cedarville.
Wideman was transported to Soin Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Wideman’s right front passenger, Kearson Wideman, 54, of Dayton was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The right rear juvenile male passenger was also transported to Soin Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Harmon was transported by a family member to Soin Medical Center with minor injuries.
The crash closed the intersection for approximately three hours, according to OSHP.
Initial reports indicated at least one person was trapped inside a vehicle after the crash.
The Xenia Post was assisted at the scene by the Cedarville Fire and EMS, Miami Township fire and EMS, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
OSHP wants to reminds drivers to buckle-up to continue combating distracted driving.
