DARKE COUNTY — A 16-year-old girl was flown to the hospital after a crash in Darke County on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 3:20 p.m. near the intersection of State Route 47 and Conover Road, near Versailles.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 black Pontiac G6 driven by Brooke Bergman 16, of New Weston was heading northbound on Conover Road and stopped at the intersection of State Route 47, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Bergman then pulled out into the intersection and was hit broadside by a 2019 Kenworth tractor-trailer, which was heading eastbound on State Route 47.
The semi was driven by Robert Rodrigues 45, of Versailles.
Bergman was mechanically removed from her vehicle and was flown to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight with serious injuries.
Rodrigues was uninjured.
