One person has died as a result of the head-on crash Wednesday morning on U.S. 36, according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, emergency crews, and CareFlight responded to the three-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 near Zimmerman Road just after 7 a.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Honda CRV, driven by Laura Kline, 48, of Urbana was traveling east on U.S. 36 when her vehicle went left of center and struck a 2007 Subaru Forester, driven by William Coe, 82, or Conover.
Kline then continued west and struck a 2018 Subaru Outback, drive by Elizabeth Moore, 31, of Urbana head-on.

Kline was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Moore was transported by St. Paris EMS to Upper Valley Hospital and Coe refused treatment at the scene.
