Fairborn man ID’d as victim of deadly Perry Twp. crash Tuesday

PERRY TWP. — A Fairborn man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on North Diamond Mill Road in Perry Township Tuesday, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

The crash was reported around 6:30 a.m. on North Diamond Mill Road south of Shiloh Springs Road in Perry Twp.

Police are still investigating the events that led to the crash, however, a preliminary investigation found one driver crossed the center line and caused the crash.

One vehicle was sent into a pole while a second crashed into a tree, according to police.

The third vehicle involved ended up on the side of the road.

Carl Broadstock, 59, of Fairborn was taken to Miami Valley Hospital after the crash where he later died, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said in a media release Wednesday.

Broadstock’s cause and manner of death have not been determined and were still under investigation.

The condition of the other driver hospitalized was not immediately known. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
