METROPARKS — Medics have been dispatched to reports of someone suffering from cold exposure in the Metroparks.

Just after 5 a.m. Medics from Vandalia were dispatched to the 2000 block of East National Road on reports of a cold exposure call.

A spokesperson with CSX Transportation told News Center 7 that they received reports of a trespasser standing on top of a train in Vandalia around 3:20 a.m.
A dispatcher with the Vandalia Police Department confirmed that crews received reports of someone suffering from cold exposure on or near the tracks located in the Metroparks.
Video from the scene shows multiple police cruisers near stopped train cars on the tracks.
Emergency scanner traffic indicated the person was stuck on top of a rail car that was stopped on the tracks.
It is unclear at this time the severity of the cold exposure or how long the person was exposed.
