MERCER COUNTY — A Marion, Indiana man was killed in a crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Hoenie and Oregon roads north of Celina, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office said.
Richard D. Medina, 32, was driving on Oregon Road when he failed to yield at the intersection around 12:10 p.m. Medina crashed into another vehicle that was travelling on Hoenie Road. Both vehicles ended up in a field after the crash, investigators said.

Medina was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to deputies.
The driver of the vehicle Medina hit, Donald Bird, 49, of Coldwater, was taken to Mercer Health to be treated for his injuries.
Additional details on the investigation were not immediately released.
