Mercer County man killed in crash with semi truck

MERCER COUNTY — A Mercer County man was killed early Monday after crashing into a semi truck on U.S. 127 near Rockford, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Ned Hileman, 78, of Rockford, was driving north on U.S. 127 around 2:10 a.m. when he crossed the center line and crashed into the semi, which was driving south.

Hileman died at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the semi was not hurt in the crash, state troopers said.
