The DORA was approved for throughout the Austin Landing complex, daily from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Miami Valley cities have increasingly used DORAs in recent months, during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way for businesses to serve more customers in an outdoor setting.
“We think it’s going to be an opportunity to increase our business opportunities there, to bring more events to the Austin Landing, and it will overall be good for the community,” said John Morris, Miami Twp. Board of Trustees President.
Like in other Miami Valley DORA’s, there will be designated cups patrons will have to use, and signage marking areas they can’t go.
The hours can be extended for special events.
Township leaders told News Center 7 it is not yet clear when the DORA will begin, but it will be after cups and signs are produced. This could take at least a few weeks.
